Wild, Wet, & Wooly: SFU Amazing Race!

As part of SFU’s 50th anniversary celebrations, we helped out with the Amazing Race planned for students and faculty.  For our station in biology, we set up a bunch of fantastic specimens from the Biology museum and greenhouse.  Thank you Tiia and Leslie for help with the samples!

Lots of student groups were excited to see fern sperm, furry critters native to BC, modern dinosaurs, and other creatures.  It was awesome!

Most of the students were panting when they came in, and then dashed out the door past the ridiculous but amazing B-for-Biology vinyl balloon.  You could tell they were in a hurry when they identified the turtle as an insect.  It really was a race!

Thanks Joan for organizing and including me!
